600 vaccines went missing in Lahore Jinnah Hospital

Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital has misplaced as many as 600 coronavirus vaccine dosages kept at the medical facility, sources reported on Friday.

Sources stated that the hospital administration has vaccinated friends and relatives with the absent quantities, further stating that no archives of the vaccines could be found in the hospital’s record.

The province’s health department has inquired for the accounts after the stated vanishing of the vaccines. Health Minister Yasmin Rashid mentioned a comprehensive record of the vaccination would be collected, and severe measures would be taken if loopholes found.

Regarding this, the medical manager of Jinnah Hospital said there was something wrong in assembling the record of the shots as some doctors did not made records after being inoculated.

“Following completion of registration, it can be determined how many doses went missing,” the hospital’s MS stated

In the meantime, Chairman Jinnah Hospital Management Board Gohar Ijaz stated all significant archives of vaccines are accessible, adding that paramedical members was vaccinated “on merit”, and reviews are being directed on a daily basis.
