Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has unveiled the 8070 Ramzan Relief Package 2025, a Rs20 billion initiative aimed at supporting low-income families across the country ahead of the holy month of Ramzan.
Under the scheme, 40 lac eligible families will receive cash assistance of Rs10,000, along with subsidies on essential food items, through a streamlined digital distribution system, replacing the long queues previously seen at Utility Stores.
Two-tier relief initiative
The government has divided the Ramzan Relief Package 2025 into two components:
- Cash Assistance:
- Eligible families will receive Rs10,000 in direct financial aid to help them cover household expenses during Ramzan.

Eligibility criteria for Ramazan Relief Package
To qualify for the 8070 Ramazan Relief Package, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Be registered under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) or the Ehsaas Programme.
- Not be receiving financial aid from any other government relief program.
Registration Process for Ramazan Relief Package
Eligible individuals can apply through the official PSER portal by entering their CNIC and mobile phone number and filling out the registration form.
Alternatively, applicants can send their CNIC number via SMS to 8070 to check eligibility and receive further instructions.
Disbursement of funds – Ramazan Relief Package
The government has introduced multiple disbursement channels to ensure smooth distribution of funds:
