With a constant increase in the number of covid-19 cases in Pakistan, around 491 micro smart lockdowns have been imposed in Punjab.
The total number of cases in Pakistan has now reached up to 330,905 whereas the number of deaths due to the virus stands at 6773.
With 435 cases alone in Lahore, Punjab is currently the second province after Sindh with most cases. Due to this increase in cases, the Punjab government has decided to imply 491 micro smart lockdowns.
The number of micro smart lockdowns in different regions of Punjab are:
- In Gujrat: 29
- Jhelum: 8
- Khushab: 5
- Jhang: 2
- Kasur: 3
- Khanewal: 6
After viewing the number of cases in these areas, micro smart lockdowns has been implied.
Other than the micro lockdowns, Punjab Government has also ordered to reduce the closing timings of restaurants, parks, malls and recreational areas. Wearing a mask has also been made mandatory.
Recreational areas have been ordered to close off at 10pm.
