Diego Maradona; football legend dies at the age of 60

Diego Maradona who is considered as the greatest football player of all time has died yesterday at the age of 60. The news of his demise has left his fans all around the world in a state of mourning especially his native Argentinian fans.

When it comes to football he is considered to be on the top of  the best players chart. It has been reported that he had gone through a brain surgery in the recent days and died yesterday due to a cardiac arrest.

Maradona was born in 1960 and was brought u in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires. He did not only become a hero for his nation, but he became a global hero as well.

It was his dribbling skills and balance which made him incomparable to anyone. He was definitely unstoppable.

As a teenager, he started out to play for his national team. He gained most popularity in 1986 when he led his team towards the world cup title.

He will always be remembered for his two greatest goals against England. He dribbled the whole England team and punched the ball in the goal. Fans were left awestruck after these magnificent goals.

In the game it was hardly anyone in comparison of Maradona but off field, life was a bit struggling for the player. He had became addicted to cocaine and alcohol due to which he was banned from the national team and club as he couldn’t pass the drug test.

Many fans and footballers penned down heartfelt goodbye messages for him. Lionel Messi wrote:” He has left us but he will never leave us because Diego is eternal.”Argentine President Alberto Fernandez announced three days of national mourning in the South American country.
