US preseidnt, Joe Biden has selected a Pakistani-born American for the position of Deputy Adviser on US’s Domestic Climate Change Policy
Being a Harvard graduate, Ali Zaidi has quite some experience for this position. He has been working as the deputy secretary for New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo. Other than this he is serving as climate change policy and finance’s chairman in NYC.
Before this, 33 years old Ali Zaidi has held different important climate-related posts in White House during Barac Obama’s tenure, the roles he took included the Associate Director for Natural Resources at the Office of Management and Budget Associate Director. He has also been a part of energy department.
Beto O’Rourke was seen to among the first 2020 election candidates who gave out a detailed plan regarding climate. His presidential campaign was also being advised by Zaidi.
Now Zaidi has been appointed by Biden to work as the climate change policy’s deputy advisor.
