Revised and decreased passport charges

As of today, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, Ministry of Interior has made the announcement that it has decreased the charges of passports with instant outcome.

Based on news from Geo News, according to a notification related to the matter of passport that has been issued for five years with a total number of 36 pages will now be charged at Rs3,000, whereas, Rs5,000 will be the cost for immediate or urgent services.

As for passports which will be valid for a time span of five years comprising on 72 pages, will be charged at the price of Rs5,500, while Rs9,000 will be added for urgent services.

A passport which will be valid for a time span of five years with 100 pages will now be charged at Rs6,000, whereas an urgent payment for the same passport has been set at Rs12,000.

The notification moreover added that passports which will be valid up to 10 years, consisting of 36 pages, will be charged at Rs4,500, whereas urgent Passports will have charges of Rs.7,500

Similar to that, a passport which would be valid for 10 years comprising of 72 pages will cost Rs8,250, meanwhile an urgent service fee for the same will cost Rs13,500.

The newly reviewed charges will be valid from February 17, 2021, the notification read.
