CM Buzdar concerns over provincial matters

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on the Extinction of Corona and conveyed distress over the rise in the number of patients in Lahore and other areas.

It was decided to end trading in marketplaces after Maghrib prayers while milk and yoghurt shops, medical stores and tandoors will be let off from this ban. The meeting set on to stop sports events, Jashan-e-Baharan and public meetings in Lahore and some other cities for next 14 days. In the same way, having wedding in marquees and marriage halls will not be allowed for two weeks. Based on the decision, only takeout will be permitted from eateries and the meeting additionally permitted to put a ban on shrines and cinema halls for coming 14 days.

In the meantime, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has agreed on development schemes in several regions of the province to deliver improved services to the common people. The meeting decided to slowly build rainwater storing tanks in Lahore at 10 different places at a price of Rs 1.85 billion. Likewise, the meeting permitted instant relief of Rs2 billion for roads’ repair in several regions. As many as Rs180 million were alloted for BS Block in Government Girls Degree College Samanabad and providing Rs 500 million was also agreed on for Emerson University Multan.
