46 year old man sent to jail after trespassing at Buckhingam Palace equipped with knife

Alarm bells went on ringing as a result of a man equipped with a knife stepped in Buckingham Palace and got passed the security unnoticed previous month.

The 46-year-old man namely Chorrie Thompson has been sent to jail as he was able to enter into Queen Elizabeth II’s official dwelling without being noticed when an automobile was coming in the palace at 11:25 on April 15

As per the prosecuting attorney Mike Mullin, Thompson, equipped with a Stanley knife, entered and went towards the Lodge are to the right of the large gate where he came across the security officials who told him to exit.

“He says he wants to use the toilet and when he was refused permission he becomes aggressive and throws some documents he has onto the floor. He was only in there for 10 to 15 seconds before he leaves,” said Mullin, according to Mirror Online.

The court heard by the time police approached, Thompson was spotted there with a Stanley-type carpenter’s knife.

According to the tabloid, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring stated: “This is obviously a serious and significant case given the nature of where he was and the offending that took place.”

“I recognise he didn’t produce the knife, it was only found as a result of the search, which was inevitable,” he added.
