Development promises by the government is a lie; Bilawal Bhutto

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has claimed that the government’s assurance of a 4% development in the budget is “based on lies” and everyone knows that.

Talking in a meeting at the National Assembly, which was being directed under the leadership of National Assembly’s Speaker Asad Qaiser, Bilawal stated that  both the budget and the budget hearing of the PTI government were “illegal.”

He said that the PTI government has failed to present the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, which is supposed to allocate financial assets between the federal government and the provinces.

“Every budget will be unconstitutional until the NFC award is given,” he said.

He also mentioned that the government has “left the poor people in a deplorable condition” by introducing an unrealistic budget, further mentioning that it was an “attack” on the citizens.

“If the budget raises petrol, gas, and electricity prices, then every Pakistani has to bear the burden of the government’s incompetence,” said Bilawal.

“The prime minister had promised to grant 10 million jobs to people, but on the contrary, even those who were previously employed have now been rendered jobless,”

He also questioned that”If the economy has significantly improved, then the government should immediately opt out of the IMF’s deal,”

“The government has abandoned the farmer community. They have not even been provided with fertiliser subsidy,” said Bilawal.
