The authorized data indicates that the national river flows on Monday came down from 456,000 cusecs to 223,000 cusecs previous week. The major drop, from 225,000 cusecs to 97,800 cusecs, was observed in the River Indus.

IRSA representative, Khalid Idrees Rana, stated that the river system officials have begun taking out surplus water supplies from Tarbela and Mangla dams, cooperating their substantial prospects. He stated that the IRSA has not yet given out the scarcity to provinces. On the other hand, if the condition does not get better in the coming week or so, the whole country will be effected by the nip.

IRSA has been providing 273,100 cusecs countrywide with 107,000 cusecs to Punjab, 149,000 to Sindh, 14,000 to Balochistan, and 3,100 to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with no cutting down of the provincial segment, Khalid made clear.
