PDM to hold protest against rising inflation in country

“The tsunami of inflation has overburdened people,” Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman stated Sundh while talking to Opposition leaders.

In individual telephonic discussions with Akhtar Mengal, Aftab Sherpao, and Professor Sajid, Fazl talked about introducing the anti-inflation campaign.

“It is impossible for the poor to even survive nowadays, therefore, we can’t stay silent”, he said while advising the Opposition leaders to stage demonstrations counter to inflation all over the country.

In the meantime, Fazl declared to hold countrywide protests against the increasing inflation “within next two weeks”.

In a media talk in Islamabad, Fazl stated that the Opposition will introduce a “full-fledged campaign against inflation”, as soon as the celebrations of Eid Milad un Nabi settles.

“We appeal to the entire nation to fully participate in the protests and rallies,” he said while presenting information on how the government acquired debts and brought up inflation in the country.

Right before the press conference, the PDM chief had held an informal meeting with the alliance members at his residence.

The former prime minister and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Mehmood Achakzai and Awais Noorani were present at the meeting, where the leaders talked over starting campaigns against the federal government and inflation, sources stated.
