Strange “Disappearance” of 14,000 Liters of Fuel from Sindh Police Custody

During a joint operation by Customs and Matyari police on National Highway, at least 14,000 liters of oil and petrol “disappeared.”

According to News, Customs and Matyari police have taken 36,000 liters of Iranian oil and gasoline into custody. Petroleum products were being delivered from Karachi to Daulatpur.

According to an official receipt, the container was carrying 50,000 liters of oil and gas on its way from Iran. The seized container contained 14,000 litres of Iranian oil worth Rs. 3 million, but it was missing.

The administration of Karachi has connected 20,000 private CCTV cameras to the police system. It has also provided e-tagging capabilities to all police stations.

Ghulam Nabi Memon, Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, convened a high-level meeting to assess the city’s law and order situation as well as the department’s overall efforts to reduce crime.

In Karachi, the Additional Inspector General (AIG), Javed Akhtar Odho, revealed plans to outfit the department with new technology. He stated that these technologies will be crucial in combating various street crimes.
