It is common in the country for government teachers to work in private educational institutions. However, as a result of teaching in private schools, the Sindh government has now suspended dozens of teachers.

45 teachers have been suspended for concurrently working for the government and the private sector, according to the official notification from the Sindh Education Department (SED).
The notification was issued by Secretary SED Akbar Leghari, who stated that the teachers’ services had been suspended. They will, however, be able to receive salaries and allowances during the suspension period.

Primary School Teachers (PSTs), High School Teachers (HSTs), and Head Masters from schools in Naushahro Feroze, Badin, Larkana, Hyderabad, Qamber Shahdadkot, and other districts of the province have been suspended.
SED, on the other hand, has blocked the IDs of over 100 government school security guards for failure to perform official duties. While suspended teachers can still collect their salaries and allowances, the SED has stopped paying security guards.

According to Secretary SED, steps have been taken to improve the department’s performance. He also mentioned that the court had asked for a thorough report on SED’s performance.
