As a result of the ongoing cold wave, the Punjab government has altered the dress code regulations for students to prevent them from catching seasonal illnesses.

According to specifics, the School Education Department (SED) informed all private and public schools in the province that they must relax their uniform policy in a notification that was released on Wednesday.

In order to stay warm and shield themselves from the cold, students are permitted to wear any type of sweater, blazer, coat, jacket, cap, socks, and shoes in January and February.

These instructions must be followed in letter and spirit by all public and private schools.

The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), in a related development, has also instructed Islamabad’s educational institutions to flex their uniform policies in light of the cold climate.

For January and February, all both public and private institutes are asked to permit students to wear warm clothes of their preference.
