In support of the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement (GYM), the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is hosting a green digital photography competition to raise awareness of climate change and environmental sustainability.

The competition’s theme, “Impacts of Climate Change on the Eco-System of Pakistan,” encourages individuals to capture the beauty of nature, the effects of human activity on the environment, and young people’s perspectives on climate change.

Before February 28, 2023, teenagers and young adults in Pakistan between the ages of 15 and 29 are invited to submit original photos showing how climate change has affected the nation via the PMYP’s official website.

The competition is split into two age groups—15 to 22 years and 23 to 29 years—with identical cash awards given for first, second, and third place in each.

The first price is of Rs. 200,000 while the second and third winners would be given Rs. 150,000 and Rs, 100,000 respectively.

Through this contest, HEC and the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement wish to motivate youth to take measures to safeguard the environment. Winners will be revealed and recognized during the “Week of Youth,” which will be observed from February 20–26, 2023.

Further Details are available on the PMYP (Prime Minister’s Youth Program) website’s competition page.
