A senior English teacher at Islamia College University was tragically shot on Sunday after getting into a verbal fight with a security guard.
According to the police, the day before, Mardan native and current resident of the Islamia Collegiate School, Professor Bashir Muhammad, got into a fight with the watchman, but it was later settled.
However, the two got into a fight again on Sunday, and this time Professor Bashir pulled a gun. In retaliation, the guard, Sher Muhammad, fired at the professor with his AK-47.
As a result, Professor Bashir received serious wounds and was taken to the nearby Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), where he passed away.
