Two people were killed and three people were hurt in a fatal explosion that happened in the Al Jurf industrial area of Ajman. Both the departed and the hurt individuals were Asian.
The explosion was reported to the Ajman Police on Sunday around 11 AM. The explosion occurred at a factory, confirmed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ajman Police, Major-General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi,
Reports state that the explosion occurred as a result of sparks igniting while workers were welding on one of the tanks.
The explosion, according to the Ajman Police chief, was caused by a failure to follow safety guidelines and rules.
