Pakistan saw a 1.37 million increase in 3G and 4G users in July.

According to data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan increased by 1.37 million from 124.39 million at the end of June to 125.76 million at the end of July.

In Pakistan, the number of cellular subscribers dropped from 190.95 million to 190.90 million over the course of the study period. The percentage of cells with teledensity dropped from 80.34 to 80.04 percent. By the end of July 2023, the overall teledensity had dropped from 81.43 percent at the end of June to 81.12 percent.

During the time period under review, the Monthly Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration rose from 52.34 percent to 52.83 percent.

Jazz’s overall 3G user count decreased by 0.075 million, from 4.375 million to 4.300 million. Users of Jazz 4G increased during that time from 42.356 million to 42.769 million.

While the number of Zong 4G users increased from 32.492 million at the end of June to 32.927 million at the end of July, Zong 3G subscribers decreased from 2.526 million to 2.4479 million.

While the number of Telenor 4G users increased from 22.896 million at the end of June to 23.150 million at the end of July, the company’s 3G subscribers decreased from 2.803 million to 2.761 million.

By the end of July, there were 2.691 million Ufone 3G users, up from 2.687 million at the end of June. Ufone’s 4G user base increased by 0.428 million during the time period under review, from 12.778 million to 13.206 million.
