A court fined the owner of the lion that appeared on Share Faisal on Tuesday Rs 1 million on Wednesday.
In addition to approving the bail of five accused, including Shamsul Haq, Ubaid, Ghulam Murtaza, and Naseer, the court ordered the accused to pay the fine within two days.
The accused was mandated by the court to post a two lakh rupee bond.
The court ordered the authorities to give the lion and a turtle to the Natural Environment after Shamsul Haq testified in court that they did not want to receive the tiger back.
The lion and turtle had to remain in the Karachi Zoo until the case was resolved, per the court’s directive.
The Wildlife Department was ordered by the court to submit a challan within 14 days.
