Sara Sharif, a 10-year-old girl who was discovered dead in her home in Woking, Surrey, according to her grandfather, was killed accidentally, according to his son.

The father of Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, Muhammad Sharif, told BBC News in a statement that “it was an accident; he didn’t tell me how it happened,” adding that Urfan had fled the UK out of fear.

When Muhammad’s son visited Jhelum, he claimed to have seen Urfan in Pakistan. Muhammad responded, “Out of fear,” when the BBC reporter questioned him about why Urfan travelled to Pakistan if the death was an accident.

“His daughter died, and obviously you can’t think straight when you’re going through so much trauma.”
He also pleaded with his son to come back to the UK and support him.

A day after Sara passed away, Urfan, his brother Faisal Malik, Beenish, and five kids boarded a flight from the UK to Pakistan. According to police, the trio paid up to 5,000 pounds for one-way tickets to Pakistan for three adults and five children on August 9, the day before Sara’s body was discovered.

The claims made by Sara’s uncle, Imran Sharif, who was also being held by the police, are corroborated by Sara’s grandfather’s statement.

Imran previously disclosed to Pakistani police that Sara reportedly died at home, according to the family line. He is accused of telling police that Beenish was at home with the kids. Sara broke her neck when she tumbled down the stairs. Beenish dialled Urfan in a fit of panic.

Sara “suffered multiple and extensive injuries,” according to Surrey Police, which they claimed were “likely to have been caused over a sustained and extended period of time.”

Surrey County Council claimed that she had previously been known to the authorities, and Surrey Police claimed to have had ‘limited and historic contact’ with Sara’s family. On the day his daughter’s body was discovered, Urfan Sharif called 999 from Pakistan and expressed concern for her safety, according to police.

Urfan, his wife Beenish, and their five children are still sought after in Pakistan.

In the early hours of August 10, Sara Sharif’s body was discovered in a Woking council house. Sara was the daughter of Olga Sharif and Malik Urfan Sharif, 31. When the body was found, the property was empty, according to the police. The body of the child was found, which led to a murder investigation.

Since Ms. Olga and Mr. Sharif are no longer married, Mr. Sharif reportedly has sole custody, according to media reports.

When authorities informed Ms. Olga that she needed to travel to England and report to the Dover police station, she claimed that she was en route to Poland.

Just a few weeks after her body was discovered, a neighbour named Jessica revealed that her daughter claimed Sara had attended St. Mary’s primary school in Byfleet that April with obvious wounds.

Then Sara’s family relocated to Woking, and they were no longer present at the school.

Another neighbour asserted that Beenish, the girl’s stepmother, had stated the girl was receiving home instruction as a result of being teased for donning a hijab.

The neighbour stated, “I advised Beenish that Sara needed to be with kids her own age. She responded by saying that she was meeting new people at the mosque and during her swimming lessons.
