Today (Monday) is observed as a day of respect and remembrance for Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who founded Pakistan.
A Quran Khawani will be held at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, and special prayers will be said for the Quaid’s departed soul in mosques all over the nation.
To honour the great leader, people from all walks of life—including government officials, political figures, and employees—will pay respects at the mausoleum of the Quaid.
Events will be held by a number of public and private organisations as well as educational institutions to highlight various facets of the life of Quaid-e-Azam, who united the Muslims of the Subcontinent in their quest for a separate homeland.
The media will broadcast special programmes to honour the great leader. During the special transmissions, Quaid-e-Azam speech excerpts will also be broadcast.
