Residents of the Pakistani village of Amazai in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Buner region pay only Rs 700 per month to have electricity all day and night, despite the fact that demonstrations against high electricity prices and frequent power outages continue to take place throughout the nation in different parts of the country.
Thanks to the creativity of one local hero, residents are able to enjoy uninterrupted electricity for the astronomically low price of just Rs. 700 per month.
A dedicated Buner resident named Bakht Zamin Shah took it upon himself to fix the community’s ongoing electricity issue.
He set out on a mission to supply 350 homes in Amazai with dependable power five years ago.
His response? the setting up of a turbine, which has been providing electricity ever since.
“We started this powerhouse four years ago, and it has been providing electricity to 350 homes at an affordable rate of 700 rupees per month,” said Bakht Zamin Shah, the inspirational force behind this electrifying initiative.
All household needs are met by this 220-volt electricity, which is available around-the-clock and can power things like irons, heaters, water motors, and washing machines. Even more, we support about eight mosques in the region and offer free electricity to low-income families.
This brilliant project has had a profoundly transformative effect on Amazi Village.
Residents are no longer subject to the hardships of load-shedding because they always have access to electricity. All household appliances can be easily powered by the turbine’s 220-volt output, which greatly improves the comfort and convenience of daily life.
People in Pakistan have long been frustrated by load-shedding, especially in rural areas.
