Days before he leaves his prestigious academic position, Mansoor Akbar Kundi, vice chancellor of the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), has “become an auto-rickshaw driver.”

The action aims to raise awareness among people about the fact that no job is menial.

In a brief video clip that has been making the rounds on social media, Kundi, a well-known literary figure, can be seen driving an autorickshaw down a street.

He stated that he intended to leave the university this month and that the university did not offer pension benefits to its employees.

Given the dire economic conditions of the nation, the VC claimed that he wanted to convey to the populace that they should not be afraid or ashamed, even if they must operate a rickshaw.

He held the position of vice chancellor at Gomal University and the BZU. Additionally, he had held a position on the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) executive board. In 2015, Kundi left Balochistan University.
