The highly anticipated International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 roster will be published today (Friday), according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Zaka Ashraf, Chief of the Management Committee, presided over a meeting on Wednesday to evaluate the performance of the national team in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2023, according to a statement released by the PCB.

The national coaching group, which included vice captain Shadab Khan, skipper Babar Azam, and Misbah ul Haq, was present during the meeting. Grant Bradburn, the head coach, as well as Andrew Puttick and Morne Morkel, batting and bowling coaches, were also in attendance.

During the meeting, Dr. Sohail Saleem presented details on player injuries and recovery programmes.

Throughout the review, Zaka Ashraf emphasised the value of candid conversations and reaching consensus. He brought up the problem of player workload, pointing out that some players were worn out from playing league cricket prior to national duty. The PCB wants to manage players’ workloads more skillfully and give national service priority.

Zaka Ashraf cited the team’s world-class bowlers and hitters as justification for his confidence in the team’s ability and readiness for the ICC Men’s World Cup. He reaffirmed the PCB’s commitment to providing resources and support in order to ensure the team’s readiness for the upcoming major competition.

Due to a medical emergency, chief selector Inzamam ul Haq was unable to attend the conference; instead, he met with Zaka Ashraf privately to give his opinion. Inzamam has selected Pakistan’s team for the ICC World Cup as a result of the review. Today (Friday), the squad will receive its official announcement.
