The Pakistani team left Lahore early on Wednesday morning for India in preparation for the much-awaited World Cup 2023.

The national team is anticipated to arrive in Hyderabad, India, today before their warm-up match. The trip will include a quick stop in Dubai.

Along with bowling coach Morne Morkel, the national team’s 18 players will be accompanied in Dubai by 13 members of the support crew.

Mickey Arthur, the squad’s director, is scheduled to go to India to join the Babar Azam-led team before they begin their preparations for the mega competition.

The following day is set aside for a workout, and on September 29, the Men in Green will take on New Zealand in their opening exhibition game.

Babar Azam requested followers on social media to remember the national players in their prayers for the World Cup 2023 before leaving.

Babar Azam posted on his Twitter account, “As we head for the World Cup, we seek the prayers of all the Pakistan cricket team fans and well-wishers.”
