In response to the criticism she received for her infamous incident with British model Taloulah Mair, which resulted in her breakup with Shahbaz Shigri, pop sensation Aima Baig said she came dangerously close to committing suicide.
The singer opened out about her mental health issues in an interview after receiving online criticism and accusations pertaining to her personal life.
Aima also spoke about how she believed Allah had “summoned” her to make the Umrah, saving her and bringing her calm in the middle of the conflict.

Not only did I experience all the criticism and hostility, but also my brother, my father, and my sisters. And they were simply treating me well. They wouldn’t even tell me, but I could tell from the expression in their eyes that they too were in pain. My friends were also in pain.
Aima related a transformational and healing event that happened while on a religious trip to Umrah, despite the darkness she experienced during that time in her life.
She recalled hiding out in her room during those trying times, but the offer from her father to go on Umrah marked a turning point. According to Aima, “When I went there and performed Umrah, and the intensity with which I performed Umrah, it felt like Allah wanted me to heal.”
For context, pop star Aima Baig was accused of infidelity with her lover Qes Ahmed by British model Taloulah Mair in 2022. According to the model, Qes, a man from Pakistan, is a womaniser and con man who has had various affairs with numerous women, including Aima Baig.
Only a few days had passed since Shahbaz Shigri and Aima Baig called off their engagement before the sensational news broke. Aima was then singled out by Taloulah, who used disparaging language and leaked her private talks online. Aima Baig had to stop using social media as a result of the criticism.
