For the winter semester, the Punjab Education Department has released updated start and end times for all public and private schools in Lahore.
Schools for boys and girls will start at somewhat different times. Boys’ schools will continue to be open Monday through Thursday and on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., according to official notification.
The schools will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. on Friday without a break.
The start time for girls’ schools, on the other hand, will be from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday and on Saturday. Every Friday, they will close at 12 o’clock.
Schools with Two Shifts
On Monday through Thursday and on Saturday, the first shift will start at 7:45 a.m. and terminate without a break at 12:15 p.m. On Monday through Thursday and on Saturday from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm, the second shift won’t stop.
On Friday, however, classes will begin from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
It should be noted that the schedule will not change until April 14, 2024, starting on October 16.
