President Putin and Prime Minister Kakar Talk About Boosting Bilateral Cooperation

On the sidelines of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, which is taking place in Beijing, caretaker prime minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar met with Russian President Vladimir Putin today.

The two presidents discussed their bilateral partnership with an emphasis on commerce, investments, and energy and expressed pleasure with the continuous growth of relations between Pakistan and Russia. Additionally, they talked about the potential for improving Eurasian connectivity as well as Pakistan’s crucial role in regional integration via rail, road, and energy corridors.

The region needs greater regional integration, according to Prime Minister Kakar, who also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to advancing and bolstering bilateral ties with Russia in the areas of trade and investment, energy, connectivity, and counterterrorism.

The leaders also discussed regional and international events, notably the changing Middle East scenario. It is important to note that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Russia.
