More than 630,000 Pakistanis departed their home country in the first nine months of 2023 in quest of better work possibilities overseas.
633,108 Pakistanis were registered for abroad employment in the first nine months of the current calendar year, from January to September, according to statistics made public by the Bureau of Emigration and Abroad Employment.
Up until July, there had been 540,282 Pakistanis who had emigrated. This indicates that more than 92,000 Pakistanis left the nation in pursuit of jobs during the month of September.
According to the figures, 141,282 drivers and 275,433 workers left the nation over the time period under consideration. 6,351 engineers, 5,876 accountants, 2,580 physicians, and 1,194 teachers were also among those who emigrated.
According to the bureau’s occupational group-by-occupation breakdown, of those who departed, 17,058 had a high level of qualification, 35,414 had a high level of skill, 232,933 had a skill level, 65,922 had a semi-skill level, and 281,781 had no skill at all.
Out of the total, 44,777 Pakistanis departed the nation for Qatar, 302,634 workers went to Saudi Arabia, 173,561 to the United Arab Emirates, and 44,567 to Oman. Malaysia (18,609), Bahrain (9,599), Romania (4,405), Greece (2,676), and Iraq (2,646) are some of the other significant nations on the list.
