On Wednesday, the 32nd match of the Cricket World Cup 2023 will feature a heavyweight encounter between South Africa and the reigning New Zealand. The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune will host the contest.

Given that both teams are positioned for the semi-finals, the stakes are not very high and neither team has to win, but both will strive to maintain momentum.

Following today’s victory, the victorious team advances further in the points table and gets a foot in the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

The Proteas and Kiwis are presently ranked second and third in the rankings, respectively, after both sides excelled in the main ICC tournament.

Fans are happy that New Zealand and South Africa will not be playing one another in an ODI since the 2019 World Cup was staged in England and Wales.
