WhatsApp will soon offer email verification.

A small number of WhatsApp beta testers are currently being asked to use their personal email addresses to validate their accounts. It seems that this new function is still in the testing stage, since only a small number of beta testers have reported using it.

As usual, WABetaIno was the first to report on the functionality and publish a screenshot.

The WhatsApp team has been working on an email verification system since August, according to early reports on the system’s deployment. The purpose of this additional verification process is to strengthen user accounts’ security by adding another level of difficulty for unwanted access.

We expect that the email verification system will soon be accessible to all users, despite the fact that it is now only being rolled out to a restricted number of people. It looks like a simple process: users just need to input their email addresses and wait for a verification message; no further actions are needed.

Other Qualities
WhatsApp is developing more features than just this one. The messaging software will soon include the option to combine numerous user profiles into a single account, transfer media as documents to maintain quality on iOS devices, scroll ahead or backward in videos, and pin messages.

In addition, you will be able to start group calls with up to 31 people, pin community group chats, archive community group chats, modify the Updated tab, poll channels, and much more. The entire app for both iOS and Android will also have an updated design.

Though we don’t know when exactly any of these things will arrive, we do know that they will all happen shortly.
