Vivo’s flagship X100 series, which includes the X100 and the X100 Pro, has officially gone official in China.
These gadgets also introduce MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 processor, and their cameras are very good, especially the X100 Pro, which has a Zeiss APO 100mm equivalent periscope lens.
Construct and display: The 6.78-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED panels on both X100 variants are curved and have 10-bit colour, a configurable refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, and a resolution of 1260p. The screens include 2,160 Hz PWM dimming and a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits to provide better eye protection.
Integrated fingerprint scanners and front-facing cameras placed inside the punch-hole holes are additional features of these screens. Both phones have IP68 water and dust resistance.
Internals and software
As previously stated, MediaTek’s new flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9300, powers the two phones and offers generative AI and hardware-level ray tracing. This may be combined with 1 GB of UFS 4.0 memory and up to a substantial 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM.
International versions will use Funtouch 14 OS, while Chinese variations will use Origin OS 4.
Cameras
Three 50MP cameras are mounted on the X100 Pro, with the primary 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor serving as the focal point. The X100 Pro is distinguished by its unique mobile telephoto lens, which has apochromatic correction for improved clarity and less fringing at contrast boundaries. It is the first Zeiss APO-certified lens of its kind.
An f/2.0 aperture ultrawide lens comparable to 15mm is included on the third camera module. T* lens coating is included with all three lenses, which offers a 50% decrease in reflection over the Vivo X90 series.
The X100 has a 50MP IMX920 primary sensor, which is proprietary and has an f/1.57 aperture. It also has a 64MP telephoto lens that has a 1/2″ sensor, 3x zoom, and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The third and final rear camera is a 50MP ultrawide lens with a focal length of 15mm. Notably, for enhanced optical performance, T* lens coating is applied to all three of the X100’s cameras.
There is a 32MP front-facing camera on both phones.
Pricing and battery
When it comes to battery capacity, the Vivo X100 has a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W rapid charging capabilities. On the other hand, the X100 Pro houses a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery, supporting 100W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.
The Vivo X100 and X100 Pro come in the following colour options: orange, blue, white, and black. The 12/256 GB model of the X100 costs $548, while the edition with 16 GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 1 TB of storage costs $700.
The price of the X100 Pro starts at $685 for the 12/256 GB model and rises to $823 for the 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage variant.
