Pakistan has inked a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the international conglomerate Al-Bawani Holdings, located in Saudi Arabia, with the aim of improving job prospects for Pakistani labourers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Jawad Sohrab Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, and a representative of the Saudi corporation signed the memorandum of intent.

He was joined by the Pakistani ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Farooq; the Community Welfare Attache; DG Emigration, Akram Khawaja; and the Joint Secretary Emigration on his visit to the Al-Bawani holdings’ headquarters in Riyadh.

At the corporate office, SAPM Jawad Sohrab Malik was cordially greeted by Engr. Fakher Al-Shawaf, the CEO and Chairman of Al Bawani Holdings.

It is worth noting that the Saudi conglomerate, with over 250 completed projects in Saudi Arabia, is among the leading general contracting firms in the construction industry. Moreover, it has contracts in place to finish projects valued at billions of dollars around the globe.

SAPM Malik conveyed his total faith in the ability of Pakistani labourers during his conversation with the head of Al-Bawani. Professionals and workers from Pakistan would have more career options when the LOI is signed.

In addition, the Saudi conglomerate reaffirmed its intention to build a cutting-edge HR training facility in Pakistan with the goal of improving the skill level of Pakistani workers.

Additionally, SAPM Malik last week inked a contract for the export of trained labour from Pakistan to the Kingdom with NESMA & Partners, one of Saudi Arabia’s top construction companies.
