Mohammad Amir, a former fast bowler for Pakistan, has discussed his prospects of returning to the Pakistani side. Amir is presently playing for the Desert Vipers in the upcoming International League T20 (ILT20).
When Amir announced his retirement from international cricket, he said he was not satisfied with the administration of the Pakistani squad since, in his opinion, their actions had damaged his reputation.
The left-arm pacer went on to say that he no longer has any hope of returning to the national team since he has moved on and is now concentrating on playing in franchise leagues throughout the globe.
Amir, who hasn’t participated in international cricket for the past three years, hinted that reentering the dynamic cricket scene is difficult.
Three years is a long period out of the international system. If you look at the Pakistan system right now, it is changing every single month, so you never know what is coming.
Amir concluded by stating that, in his opinion, the conversation was done. He doesn’t think it would be wise to go back after three years away, at least not just now. He doesn’t know what will likely occur in the next few years.
In 2020, the fast bowler, 31, took the cricket world by surprise by quitting the game. He claimed that Waqar Younis, the bowling coach, and Misbah-ul-Haq, the head coach at the time, had treated him unjustly.
Amir was Pakistan’s primary bowler and was instrumental in winning the 2017 Champions Trophy. He claimed three vital wickets in the team’s victory over India in the final, which went a long way towards capturing the team championship.
