During the Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt Judo tryouts on Sunday at the BISE Sports Complex in Mardan, this city, 20-year-old Fiza Sher Ali passed away from head injuries.
Masood Ahmad, the vice president of the Pakistan Judo Federation, made this claim in an interview with APP. He stated that Fiza Sher Ali of Peshawar, who was competing in the -44 kg weight class, fell hard and suffered serious head injuries during the ladies’ tryouts for the Prime Minister Youth Talent Hunt. Rescue 1122 authorities took her to Mardan Hospital, but she passed away from her wounds.

Fiza Sher Ali is the daughter of Sher Ali, a first-semester BS student at Islamia College Peshawar and an inhabitant of Faisal Colony, Peshawar. According to Masood Ahmad, she was inexperienced with the game and lost control, tumbling onto her partner in a match against a Mansehra player.

The incidence was confirmed by the Rescue 1122 official, and over fifty Peshawar-based female athletes competed in the Judo trials organized by the Prime Minister Youth Talent Program at the BISE Sports Complex in Mardan. The female player was taken to a Mardan hospital shortly after the event, where her condition was declared fatal by the attending physician, according to Rescue 1122 personnel.
