Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa met for the first time on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Gandapur expressed satisfaction. He stated, “He [PM Shehbaz Sharif] gave full support, and it was very positive.”

The chief minister and the premier talked about problems related to law enforcement, public welfare, and provincial matters.

In order to tackle pressing concerns, Gandapur encouraged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to set up a meeting with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. She emphasized the significance of political discourse with the jailed leader.

He disclosed that, even in the high-security setting of Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, the prime minister had promised to arrange the meeting with the PTI founder.

“I underlined that political concerns must be resolved via political engagement with the PTI founder. In a good response, he promised to set up the meeting so that I could wrap up my discussions for the Senate election, according to Gandapur.

In addition, the chief minister of KP supported the choice of Shahab Ali Shah as the province’s new chief secretary.

In addition, he advocated for equitable funding distribution and the payment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s outstanding debt of Rs. 1,500 billion, just like other provinces.

Gandapur made it clear that the PTI founder’s letter to the IMF did not indicate that he was against financing Pakistan.

Gandapur provided clarification on PM Shehbaz’s recent visit to KP, stressing the custom of showing guests hospitality by noting his absence from Peshawar on that particular day.

Gandapur said that plans were underway to have a national security summit shortly.

The prime minister and he also spoke about election tampering, and the latter indicated that there were tribunals available to hear allegations about tampering.
