Pakistani players won in the ongoing snooker championship in Saudi Arabia

Pakistani players won in the ongoing Asian 6-Red and Under-21 Snooker Championship in Saudi Arabia. 

Pakistan’s Owais Munir and Asjad Iqbal were competing in the semi-finals of the 6-Red Championship, the best-of-9-frame final was won by Owais Munir 5-2 against compatriot Qwest. Owais came back from a 2-0 deficit and won 5 frames in a row and won the match. 30-41 and 0-70. 

In U-21, both Pakistani players Ahsan Ramzan and Muhammad Hasnain Akhtar reached the finals, while Pakistan’s Owais Munir has qualified for the finals in the 6-red balls. Continued in Riyadh. 

Owais Munir will face Hong Kong’s Nansen Wan in the final. In Under-21, Pakistan’s Hasnain Akhtar and Ahsan Ramzan have made it to the finals. Hasnain Akhtar’s winning scores were 54-64, 21-59, 61-15, 10-86 and 35-63. 

Ahsan Ramzan defeated Iran’s Tirdad Azadipur 4-1 in the best of 7 by dropping a frame. Ahsan’s score against the Iranian quest was 2-108, 24-61, 1-55, 56-48 and 7- 63 remained. After the excellent performance of Pakistani players, one gold medal, two silver medals and one bronze medal have been assured for Pakistan in the ongoing competitions in Saudi Arabia, while in case of Owais Munir’s success, Pakistan will get 2 gold medals.
