The National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi is undergoing a major upgrade project as Pakistan prepares to host the ICC Champions Trophy.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi visited the stadium to inspect the progress and instructed that work be expedited to ensure completion before the prestigious tournament.
During his visit, Naqvi emphasized the need to install the scoreboard in an ideal location and recommended relocating the parking area closer to the stadium for fans’ convenience.
Naqvi highlighted the importance of the project, stating, “Hosting the Champions Trophy is an honor for Pakistan,” and assured that preparations will meet international standards to welcome the world’s top cricket teams.
Naqvi directed that all ongoing construction work be completed promptly, with particular attention to the timely delivery of the FWK Hikam Co-op project, essential for the upgrade.
