In a surprising turn of events, the live broadcast of the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia was abruptly stopped on national sports channel PTV Sports. According to sources, the reason for the suspension was PTV Sports’ failure to pay a substantial sum owed to Tower Sports, the broadcaster that holds the exclusive rights to the series.
Facing financial difficulties, PTV Sports was unable to settle its dues with Tower Sports, leading the latter to halt the broadcast. As per insiders, PTV Sports will not be able to resume live coverage of the matches until the outstanding amount is paid.
The decision to stop the broadcast at the last minute disappointed cricket fans across the country who were eagerly awaiting the match.
