Additional customs duty has been imposed on 2200 items in the new budget for the upcoming financial year.
In the finance bill, an additional customs duty of 2 percent has been imposed on auto parts, 2 percent on imported vehicle batteries, and 2 percent on tires and tubes of agricultural tractors. Apart from this, 2 percent on vehicles above 1,000 cc, imported electric 2 percent additional duty has been levied on vehicles, electric rickshaws and electric motorcycles, while 2 percent additional customs duty has been levied on various equipment of builders and developers.
