The price of tomatoes has increased significantly in different cities of the country, tomatoes are being sold at 400 rupees per kg in Badin city and 450 rupees per kg in villages.
Farmers say that the sowing of tomato crop has started in the district, after 2 months the tomato will be available in the local market after which the prices are likely to decrease. The President of Mirpurkhas Vegetable Market Association says that tomatoes will arrive from Iran in a few days, hopefully the prices of tomatoes will be reduced.
Apart from this, the price of tomato has increased by 80 rupees per kg in Peshawar, after which the price of tomato has increased from 140 to 220 rupees per kg in the city.
