After the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, the possible presidential candidate of the Republican Party for the 2024 US elections, the price of Bitcoin has gone from 60 thousand US dollars per coin in the last few hours.

According to Today News, Trump was shot at during a campaign rally on Saturday, in which he suffered minor injuries and survived. Inside, bitcoin rose to $60,224 from $58,337, the highest price in the past week, but bitcoin’s gains paled in comparison to the Trump-inspired “memecoin.” The cryptocurrency “TREMP” saw the most significant increase in price after the incident, jumping 71 percent to $0.66 in 24 hours. Similarly, “TRUMP” was up 39 percent, and MAGA was up 33 percent.

It should be noted that Trump has emerged as a strong supporter of cryptocurrency and is seen as distinct from his rival, incumbent President Joe Biden, in the upcoming election. After Trump survived the assassination attempt, some crypto investors and bettors believe that Trump’s campaign will gain momentum in the coming months.

They also predict that a Trump victory will lead to more favorable regulatory conditions for the crypto industry than Biden.
