The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain beginning today throughout the nation.

The monsoon winds from the Arabian Sea would enter the upper parts of the country, according to the Met Office, meaning that rain would continue until August 27.

Up until August 27, rain and thunderstorms are expected in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Galliyat, and Islamabad.

Rain will start falling in patches in many areas of Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum, starting today.

Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Kohat, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, and Nowshehra are also expected to experience rain and strong winds.

From August 24 to August 26, thunderstorms are expected in Lakki Marwat, Mianwali, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Sargodha, Khushab, and Bhakar.

On August 25 and 26, local streams in North-East Balochistan and portions of D.I. Khan are expected to experience urban flooding

The met office added that Muzaffarabad’s temperature dropped significantly as a result of the city’s dense clouds and strong winds.

Due to the strong winds that have been blowing in the city since last night, the weather has also improved in Lahore.

Lahore’s temperature was measured at 29 degrees, and the city’s humidity level dropped.
