Australia and Afghanistan will face off on Wednesday to determine who advances to the World Cup 2023 semifinals.

Australia, the five-time World Cup champions, will play certain Afghans at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

The 39th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup between the two teams will take place in Mumbai on Tuesday. It is expected to be an entertaining match as both teams will be looking to win in order to maintain their ambitions of qualifying for the semifinals.

Afghanistan, headed by Hashmatullah, has performed well thus far and enters the match having defeated Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands.

Conversely, Australia recovered after taking two early losses. Australia is now behind South Africa and India in the standings after winning five straight games. They will go to the semifinals thanks to their victory today.

Looking back, the Cummins-led team played Afghanistan three times in one-day international cricket and won each time.
