Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari addressed a press conference, covering various political and governance issues and praised the Punjab government for its ongoing efforts to tackle smog, and criticized opposition figures for their role in exacerbating the country’s economic difficulties.

Bokhari defended the chief minister of Punjab, claiming she had not taken any leave during his tenure and had been actively working to address challenges like smog.

She suggested that if the opposition had shown more support, issues like smog could have been mitigated sooner.

The minister also responded to media reports regarding investment in the UAE, calling the news false and clarifying that the Punjab government is focused on improving its economic standing.

Bokhari asserted that Punjab is on track to present a surplus budget, despite claims to the contrary, and emphasized the government’s work on health initiatives, such as launching a dialysis program and improving healthcare facilities for all Pakistanis, regardless of their province.

Azma Bokhari further addressed accusations about reports, including a fabricated story about Punjab’s financial deficit, and vowed to take legal action against those spreading misinformation.

She also assured that the chief minister’s health initiatives, like the dialysis card worth up to Rs10 lakh, would soon benefit the public.

The Minister urged transparency in politics, stressing that issues should be handled openly and with integrity.
