The federal government has challenged the Islamabad High Court order in the Bashree Bibi audio leaks case.
According to the private TV channel Dunya News, the federal government has filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the order of the High Court. The matter was against the summons of the Parliamentary Committee, which has ended.
The government’s appeal also said that the Islamabad High Court was proceeding beyond the points of the invalid petition, the Islamabad High Court not having the power to take suo motu notice.
