A suspended pilot and two officers of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have been taken under arrest as they had allegedly been a part of the false license scandal
Based on the reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken a pilot namely Malik Abid, the Senior Joint Licensing Branch Director, Faisal Ansari, and the CAA Senior Superintendent of the Licensing Branch, Abdul Raees into their custody.
29 more persons have been named in a case that is being inspected by the FIA’s corporate crime ring.
The First Information Report (FIR) has told that the 25 pilots are a part of those alleged to have attained licenses by going against the rules and guidelines, and the CAA’s officers had supposedly helped them in the unlawful action after taking bribes.
As per the info from the Additional Director, Irfan Ahmed, a pilot has been taken into custody for the first time in the fake license case, whereas the names of the alleged officials have been mentioned in the Exit Control List (ECL).
