Police has reportedly arrested Maryam Nawaz’s Husband, Senior leader of PML-N; Captain (Retd.) Safdar.
He has been arrested today from a hotel in Karachi as claimed by Maryam Nawaz on twitter as well. As she tweeted: “Police broke my room door at the hotel I was staying at in Karachi and arrested Capt. Safdar,”
The reason for the arrest is the chanting slogans on the Mezaar-e-Quaid (Quaid-e-azam tomb). A video has been taking round on the internet where capt. Safdar is seen to be chanting the slogan “vote ko izzar do” at the tomb.
They had come to Karachi on Sunday for the anti-government rally. Before attending the rally, both Maryam and Safdar visited the Meezar-e-quaid where this incident took place and eventually police has taken action today and arrested capt. Safdar on these charges against him.
