China’s first rover lands on Mars

Currently it is being addressed as a most important achievement for China’s space programme that the country landed its first ever rover on Mars as of today. 

The lander leading “Zhurong” finalized the two way descent through the Martian air using a parachute to sail across the more commonly known as”seven minutes of terror” pointing toward for a huge northern lava known as the Utopia Planitia.

It “successfully landed in the pre-selected area”, as mentioned by local newsreader CCTV introducing a special TV programme devoted to the mission namely “Nihao Mars” (“Hello Mars”).

The official Xinhua news agency cited the China National Space Administration (CNSA) in confirming the touchdown.

This achievement has made China the first country to conduct an orbiting, landing and roving maneuver in its first mission to Mars – an achievement incomparable by the only other two states to reach the Red Planet till now which are the US and Russia.

President Xi Jinping directed his “warm congratulations and sincere greetings to all members who have participated in the Mars exploration mission”, as stated by Xinhua
