Radio network Bayern 3 has got major backlash from heated BTS fans as a result of its host Matthias Matuschik giving out racist comments when talking about the K-pop boy band.
Matuschik has made a wrong connection between the band and the Covid-19 virus and talked about them as “some [expletive] virus that hopefully there will be a vaccine for soon as well.”
He made these comments after listening to the band’s version of Coldplay’s Fix You.
He stated “These little [expletive] brag about the fact they covered ‘Fix You’ from Coldplay, this is blasphemy,” he said. “For this you will be vacationing in North Korea for the next 20 years!”
The comments were not taken in a good manner by Army fans who started posting about it on twitter and started different trends on internet by using hashtags like #Bayern3Apologize and #Bayern3Racist however also blaming the host for his insensitive remarks, who in turn did not take any notice of his mistake.
He instead stated: “You can’t accuse me of xenophobia. I have a car from South Korea. I have the coolest car ever,”
